Summary:

APM Group & UKAS Accredited

The M_o_R course is targeted at providing a coherent and logical solution to the problem of implementing risk management. Since 2002, when the first edition of the UK Government's OGC (Office of Government Commerce) Management of Risk: Guidance for Practitioners was published, the world of risk management has moved on. High-profile collapses such as Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI), Enron and Worldcom have all provided reason for increased focus on corporate governance.

The MoR Course is designed to demonstrate the importance of cost effective risk management both in the analysis of positive opportunities and negative threats as well as in the practical implementation of risk management within the company structure.

Taking the Practitioner Examination

- After completing the Foundation exam, the Practitioner event then moves onto a revision of the method.
- Practitioner events are 5 days, combining the Foundation level 3 day event with the last 2 days being focused on revision and preparation for the Practitioner exam.
- For those delegates wishing to take the Practitioner exam, the Foundation exam is a pre-requisite.
- The Practitioner examination (controlled and marked by the APM Group) is available on the final day of the event (Friday) for delegates wishing to be registered as a M_o_R® Practitioner.
- The Practitioner exam paper is based on a case-study (with significant content) made available to delegates one week or more before the candidate is due to take the exam.

- The Practitioner exam comprises 3 sections;
---- Section A: One questions worth 50 marks.
---- Section B: Two questions each worth 25 marks. Candidates must answer one question from this section.
---- SectionC: Two questions worth 25 marks. Candiates must answer 1 question from this section. (If a candidate attempts more than 1 question in section B and section C the examiner will mark the first question that appears unless the candidate makes it clear which answers they wish to submit).

- Candidates must pass all parts of the paper (A, B and C) at the same sitting of the M_o_R®® Practitioner exam. You need 50% averaged over the three sections to pass the exam.
