Summary:
Understanding multi-agency major incident management is vital for those with responsibilities as ‘responders’ under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. It is also important for those involved in business continuity management in relation to how a major incident, from within or externally, will impact upon a business and how they can minimise that impact by engaging effectively with emergency responders. This two-day course includes an exercise to consolidate and practice new learning.

Course Presenters:
Brian Dillon, SBCI
As a former police Inspector Brian was a Local Resilience Forum secretary and Strategic Commande Centre Manager for over 10 years. He was a police instructor responsible for both internal and external training in all aspects of risk crisis and disaster management. Brian is a specialist in exercise planning and management responsible for directing and umpiring major live play exercises, in particular civil nuclear emergencies where he represented the police service at Government level.
