Essentials of BCM is an online learning resource which gives a complete overview of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) lifecycle in keeping with the Business Continuity Institute's Good Practice Guidelines and BS 25999.

The course contains a level of information roughly equivalent to that of a one-day classroom based course. It explains the key concepts of BCM and will help the student to gain a good understanding of what is required in order to implement BCM within an organisation.

Ian Charters FBCI has been a member of the Business Continuity Institute since 1997 and was elected a Fellow in 2004. He is an internationally respected Business Continuity practitioner and a former member of the board of the BCI. He also held the position of Chair of Education at the BCI and was on the working party which developed BS 25999. Ian runs Continuity Systems which helps organisations of all sizes develop and implement BCM programmes.
